Free Medical & Eye Camps in Rural Areas

Guru Nanak Mission Hospital has been organized free medical, eye and other specialist camps where the health care is provided at patients door for last three decades. For the last eight years Nargis Dutt Mobile Hospital has been a boon for Rural Health care. This hospital van along with specialist Doctors having almost all diagnostic and therapeutic facilities is taken to patient's home. This one crore Mobile hospital was donated by Nurgis Dutt Cancer Foundation (Vancouver Chapter) Canada by all members and the president Madam Manjit Kaur Johal and S. Balbir singh Jawanda. This mobile hospital has got facilities for ECG, X-Ray, Ultrasound Scanning, Mammography and all laboratory diagnosis. These camps are usually sponsored by NRIs philanthropists specially by sri Guru singh sabha registered, Alicway Honworth Road Hounslow UK and Nurgis Dutt Cancer Foundation (Vancouver Chapter) Canada and by GNMH Jalandhar. All treatment is given free of cost and those requiring hospitalisation and operative treatment are shifted to Guru Nanak Mission Hospital, Jalandhar where all the treatment is also given free of cost. It is worthwhile mentioning here that several Eye patients by timely operations have been saved from blindness and Cancer patients by early diagnosis and prompt treatment have been life saving.
